Every family has an origin story.
For the House of Perez, ours began on a warm evening beside the Atlantic Ocean, beneath an open sky that seemed to pause for a sacred moment.
As the day unfolded, clouds drifted across the horizon, allowing golden rays of sunlight to spill through at just the right time. The ocean rolled steadily behind us, reminding everyone present that while life is constantly moving, some moments become timeless.
This was one of them.
Every strong home begins with a stronger foundation.
At the center of it all stood two people making a promise that would outlive the day itself.
Not merely a promise to love one another.
A promise to build something far greater than themselves.
Behind us stood a simple wooden cross. It wasn’t placed there by accident.
It served as a quiet reminder that every strong home begins with a stronger foundation. Long before there would be grandchildren, family gatherings, traditions, laughter, or memories, there first had to be a covenant—one centered on faith, commitment, grace, and unconditional love.
As we looked around, we saw more than guests. We saw the people who had carried us to that moment.
Parents who sacrificed. Grandparents whose prayers had quietly shaped generations. Children whose presence reminded us that the future was already standing before us. Family members whose own stories, victories, hardships, and perseverance had become part of ours.
No one arrives at their wedding day alone. Every person standing beside us had helped write the chapters that came before.
This photograph captures more than a celebration. It captures generations standing shoulder to shoulder, witnessing the beginning of another branch on the family tree.
One day, many of the faces in this picture will no longer walk beside us. Children will become parents. Grandchildren will become grandparents. New members of the Perez family will look at this photograph with curiosity and wonder.
Some will ask: “Who were they? What were they like? How did our family become what it is today?”

Our marriage was never intended to be simply about a wedding.
The flowers eventually faded. The music ended. The tuxedos were returned. The dress was carefully put away.

This was not the finish line. It was the foundation. And every chapter that follows traces its roots back to this evening beside the sea.
